After beating the cluster schools we qualified for the Sandwell schools Sportshall athletics final. Over 180 children turned up, representing 7 schools. The field events started and we were off to a flying start, the triple jumpers and the long jumpers excelled at their events and cleared the mats by far. By the end of the field events we were 30 points clear of the other schools. The track events started and we proved we can also run as well as jump and throw, we won the majority of the events. Now the hardest part of all... waiting for the results. They went from 7th to 4th and we were still waiting to hear our name. Third place...Rounds Green...second place, Brandhall, and at that moment we know we were victorious, the parents jumped off the bench cheering and later said they were so proud of the children.
We now go on to defend our County title at Aldersley Sports village, in January.
