Uplands manor have been playing in the Hadley group football league for Smethwick since September 2008.

There were 2 leagues with 7 teams in each league. We played 4 matches in our league and won all 4, and subsequently went through to the semi-finals on Monday 30^th march against Victoria Parkside, it was a close game, however we pulled it off and won 4-0, which got us through to the finals.

The finals took place on Thursday 2^nd April at St Philips against St Gregory's. They were worthy opponents but uplands played to their full potential and by half time were 3-0 up, they held onto the lead until full time and were the victors. The scorers were Byron Anderson scoring 2 and Nicholas Ruddock scoring 1.

Uplands manor are now the Hadley Group football league Smethwick winners 2008/09 and we are now going forward to represent Sandwell in the black country youth games.
