Governing Body
The Governors play an important role in school but many people don’t know who the Governors are. The Chair of the Governing Body is Dr. David Davies: “I have been Chair of Governors at Uplands Manor for 7 years, having previously been a parent governor. Both my children attended Uplands Manor and I am proud that one has since gone on to university and the other is doing A Levels. Both had a great start at Uplands and have happy memories of their time in school. Being a governor is a responsibility, but a rewarding one. Before becoming a governor I knew little about the challenges of running a school as large as Uplands Manor. Now that I am part of a team that helps keep the school a safe and happy environment for our children to learn, I have nothing but admiration for the hard work and commitment of our teachers and staff. I hope that as parents and carers we can all continue to support the school to give our children the education they deserve”.
