Operation Christmas Child

We are taking part in Operation Christmas Child. This is an opportunity to give a present to a child who has never had one.  The idea is to fill a shoe box ‘with something to love’, ‘something to do’, ‘something to use’ and ‘something to eat or wear’, as explained in the attached leaflet.  Please send boxes into school from Monday 16th November.  The boxes will be collected on Friday 19th November.

Have your Say

Evaluation slips are available at the main reception for you to tell us what we are doing well at and point out anything we could do to improve.  We call it Three Stars and a Wish.  These will also be made available after meetings or school events.

School Photographer

We still have some children’s photographs that haven’t been collected.  If you haven’t received your child’s photographs, please let the school office know.

Recycling in school

We are always looking for new ways and opportunities to raise important funds for the school.  We have signed up to an innovative fundraising programme called Money to Schools, which recycles used inkjet cartridges, toners and old mobile phones and turns them into cash for our school.  Money to Schools not only develops the children’s sense of enterprise but also teaches them about the importance of recycling and how we can protect the environment.  We have a collection

box for these items in the reception area.  So if you normally put empty cartridges in the bin or have an old mobile gathering dust in a drawer please drop them into the box.  The funds we raise can be used for vital resources and equipment.

Nursery applications for 2010

In line with Sandwell’s Admission Procedures, any applications for our Nursery received after 27th November 2009 will be considered as a late application, this may result in your

child not receiving a place.

Sports Achievements

School Uniform

The book bags and school uniform has arrived!!

School Eco Buddies

The Eco buddies have been busy creating a bird corner on the golf course and producing their own version of ‘Autumn Watch’ which will be appearing on the live T.V. screens around the school soon.  They have also achieved the silver award for the ‘Big Wildlife Garden’.

Children In Need – 20th November 2009

We will be taking part again this year.  The theme this year is ‘Do Something Different’.  Friday 20th November will be a non-uniform day (50p) and we are asking everyone to bring a teddy to school that day and we are going to see if we can make the largest line whilst holding a teddy bear.
