Book Fair
The annual Spring Term Book Fair will arrive at school on Friday 12th March and will be here for one week, until Friday 19th March. The Book Fair will be situated in the downstairs hall and will be open at 3.15 p.m. each afternoon, for parents, carers and children to make their purchases. Books are reasonably priced from £2.00 upwards. Each book sold earns commission that we use to buy new books for our school library. There will be two further opportunities for you to purchase books from the fair. Firstly, each class will visit the Book Fair during lesson time, and secondly, the Book Fair will be open during Parent’s Evening on Thursday 18th March.
Quality Mark
On 30th March we are being assessed for the Primary Quality Mark award. Here at Uplands we are all committed to improving the Literacy and Numeracy skills of our pupils.
Mobile Phones In School
Can you please remind you again that children should only bring a mobile phone to school for extreme emergencies. All children know that phones should be left at the school office before the start of school. School will not take responsibility for mobile phones in school.
Eco Greenhouse
We asked you in December to save 2 Litre round clear pop bottles at home for our Eco greenhouse. The greenhouse is now well underway, so you can bring them into school.
Lost
We have had a ring handed into the office, it was found in Addenbrooke Road on Thursday, if you have lost a ring or know anyone who has, please contact the school office.
