Sun Protection
As we are approaching the sunny weather, can we ask you to put sun cream and sun hats on your children on really sunny days.
Children are allowed to bring their own sun cream into school to re-apply themselves at
breaktimes. Can you also make sure your child has a drink of water in school. We sell
water bottles for £1.00. We also have a small supply of sun hats that we are selling for £3.50. These hats are suitable for children up to 7 Years of age.
Parent Zone
Parent Zone is an open coffee morning held in the community room every Tuesday from 9.00-11.30. Come and join us, we have five computers connected to the internet and a community champion that will listen to your ideas about training and extended learning-clubs for your children. We have invited
parents to come and chat about different issues; or if you just want to drop in to use the computer, feel free to join us. For more information contact Michelle George, community champion or see the school notice boards.
Green Day
Friday 25th June is ‘Green Day’. Everybody has a part to play in looking after our environment. This is not a non-uniform day. However, in order to promote Green
Day, children can come to school wearing an item of green clothing, for example socks, hair ribbon, dye their hair green, green tee-shirt etc. We are asking each child to contribute 50p, which will go towards improving our outside area, e.g. a water feature. We hope you will support this venture.
Secondary Schools 2011
If you have a child transferring to a secondary school in 2011, Tony Wright is the School Choice Advisor. His number is 07901006883. He will try to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Mobile Phones
Can we please remind you again that children should only bring a mobile phone to school for extreme emergencies. All children know that phones should be left at the school office before the start of school. Can you also make sure that your child’s mobile is clearly marked with their name on. School will not take responsibility for mobile phones in school.
Celebrate Your Birthday
Celebrate your birthday at Uplands Manor with a Sport Party. Most sports catered for. For more details please contact Kevin on 07717534363
